Harbormaster’s 2002 Spring Training Seminar:

“Mooring Technology and Management”

Sponsored by the Connecticut Department of Transportation's Bureau of Aviation and Ports and the Connecticut Harbor Management Association.

There will be a ``How-To'' panel discussion to improve the Harbormaster's ability to effectively manage, plan, and regulate for both individual and commercial boat moorings. There will be ample time to ask questions of the panelists and an opportunity to meet with fellow Harbormasters and harbor management commissioners.

The panel will include key persons from the Bureau of Aviation and Ports, Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers who will review State and Federal policies and regulations concerning boat mooring. In addition, industry representatives will discuss and describe current mooring technology. The panel will be moderated by Mike Griffin, Chairman, Connecticut Harbormaster Focus Group

Registration, coffee and desert will begin at 6:00 PM. The program will start at 6:30 and end at 9:30 PM with a coffee break around 8:00 PM. See below for directions to St. George’s Church.
